Rumors are swirling that Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough have split, ending their relationship after two years together. While the couple is keeping quiet on the breakup, sources close to the pair have reportedly come forward with the inside scoop.
According to source statements, the relationship couldn’t withstand the demanding schedules set by the couple’s successful careers. In addition to his American Idol duties, Seacrest frequently hosts red carpet events and has a successful radio program. Hough, a dancer and actress, is working on film projects.
One source spoke to People magazine about the split, saying that despite being unable to overcome the challenge of balancing work and personal time, the couple remain close and have stayed in contact.
Someone close to Seacrest and Hough also dished to US Weekly , saying “It just got to be too much. I think they both just sort of knew they couldn’t do it anymore.”
Just last month the couple publicly doted on one another when Hough stopped by the KIIS-FM studios for an “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” appearance. The seemingly happy couple chatted about the actress’ role in Safe Haven and shared their experience seeing the film’s premiere with Hough’s family.
However, earlier this month at an American Idol event, Ryan Seacrest completely avoided answering questions regarding any future marriage plans between the couple. When asked about a possible trip down the wedding aisle, the media mogul coyly replied, “Are you getting married?”
So far neither Ryan Seacrest nor Julianne Hough have publicly confirmed that the split. If the rumors prove to true, it would seem that Hough is having a particularly tough month. On March 13, the blond starlet tweeted about her root canal surgery, accompanied by an Instagram snapshot of her swollen lips and cheeks.
“After my Apicoectomy root canal surgery last night,” Hough tweeted . “I’ve got chipmunk cheeks and Botox looking lips! Ha!”
Julianne Hough was also the victim of theft this week after more than $100,000 in jewelry was stolen from her car. All of the pieces swiped were reportedly gifts from Ryan Seacrest.
