Nick Cannon is taking on yet another hosting gig, this time for Style Network’s Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous reboot.

“To be a part of Style’s re-imagination of this iconic show and follow in the footsteps of the legendary Robin Leach is a dream come true,” Cannon, who currently hosts America’s Got Talent and Wild N’ Out, said.

“Even though I am fortunate to have certain luxuries, sometimes, I am even amazed by what people with money have and do,” he added. “I want to remind people that just because you might be rich and famous, it doesn’t mean you have to take yourself too seriously.

Cannon will also executive produce the series through his company, NCredible Entertainment.

“Nick is both aspirational and accessible – key qualities of the Style brand. He is extremely talented with a grounded personality and style that a wide range of viewers have come to appreciate and respect,” said Style Media president Salaam Colmeman Smith. “Nick’s comedic and down-to-earth perspective on the opulence of the wealthy makes him the ideal host as we reinvent this pop culture classic.”

Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, which goes into production this fall, isn’t the only reboot Cannon is working on. The father of two will also be relaunching Soul Train on NBC .

“It means so much for our culture. It truly is something that to be able to bring through my deal at NBC Universal is that in itself is kind of taking it to the next level for where the brand began,” Cannon said. “I’m excited about that.”

The series, which ran from 1971 until 2006, holds a special place in Cannon’s heart — he was a Soul Train dancer when he was just 15, and performed his comedy routine at night. Two years later, he became the youngest staff writer in history when he joined the cast and writing crew of All That.
