A place Stevie Nicks once called home up for sale, offering a bit of music history and Hollywood lore to a homebuyer.

The $1.625 million estate in Hollywood Hills was once the home of silent-movie star Vilma Banky, who lived there after the home was built in the late 1920s. Banky, who appeared alongside stars Rudolph Valentine and Ronald Colman, is best know for starring in The Eagle and The Son of the Sheik.

The home could be a bargain in the Hollywood Hills area. It comes with 3,528-square feet of space and has a guest apartment and sunset views. It’s also gone through several renovations since Stevie Nicks originally purchased the home in the late 1970s.

The four-bedroom estate overlooks the city, and is everything a buyer could look for in a historic Los Angeles home, Zillow noted .

“Orange-tiled stairs lead to a turquoise door, setting the tone for the 3,538-square-foot home,” the real estate blog notes. “Inside, an expansive living room with ornate windows, dark wood beams and a white fireplace make a high-contrast statement.

“Old World flair continues throughout the home with vintage chandeliers and beach-washed colors set against blank white walls. Other features include a secluded patio, en-suite baths for all 4 bedrooms and a guest apartment. Evenings in the spa below Southern California sunsets are also a plus.”

The sale of Stevie Nicks’ former home comes as her career is being commemorated with a new documentary. In Your Dreams was just released, coming out in conjunction with her first solo release in a decade.

The home actually plays a significant part of Stevie Nicks’ musical history. In the 1970s, at the peak of her career, Nicks recorded several demos inside the stately home.

The Stevie Nicks home now up for sale was originally purchased in December 2000 for $1.15 million.
