Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s baby boy just got a warm welcome from his aunt and uncle in the Lone Star State.
As Us Weekly reports, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard celebrated the birth of their second child, Samuel Scott Dillard , on Saturday. He was delivered via C-section at a hospital in Arkansas, and he had a large group of aunts and uncles excitedly awaiting his arrival. However, it may be a while before he gets to meet all of his family members. Jinger Duggar, 23, and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, 29, recently filmed a video message for Jill and Derick congratulating them on their new addition. Jinger and Jeremy currently reside in Laredo, Texas, and they revealed that they did not fly to Arkansas for Samuel’s birth.
“Jill and Derick, we are so excited for you guys and your new addition, little Samuel,” Jinger says in the video, which was posted on the Duggar family’s Facebook page.
“We wish that we could be there to meet him in person, but we look forward to that day.”
“Yeah, hopefully soon we’ll be able to come and visit you guys and meet the little guy. We’re so happy for you, and we’ll be praying for you. We love you so much. Hopefully, we’ll see you soon,” Jeremy adds.
When Jessa Duggar welcomed her first son, Spurgeon Elliott Seewald, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard were living in El Salvador on the mission field. However, Jill made sure that she was a part of the birth by video chatting with her family while Jessa was in labor. It’s highly unlikely that Jinger did the same thing while Jill was giving birth. During a recent episode of Counting On , Jinger told Jessa that she didn’t want to video chat with the family while Jessa was in labor with her second child, Henry Wilberforce Seewald.
“I don’t think I’m going to be video chatting while she’s in labor,” Jinger said. “Births aren’t my thing.”
The Counting On star stated that she was content to wait for her older sister to send her a photo of her newborn baby boy.

Jinger and Jeremy were busy Saturday afternoon while Jill Duggar was in labor, so they had an excuse for not video chatting with Jill and the members of the Duggar family who accompanied her to the hospital. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the couple was having a blast trying to hit targets at a shooting range in Laredo.
The amount of time that Jinger and Jeremy have to see their new nephew in person is limited; Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have said that they eventually plan on returning to the mission field in El Salvador with their baby boy and his older brother, Israel David Dillard. The couple hasn’t revealed a date for their departure, but their last stay in the U.S. lasted about six months . As People reports, Jill and Derick remained in Arkansas from August 2016 to February 2017. The couple has been asking for donations to fund their current visit back home.
