Wow, what a weird and wild NFL week. The ups and the downs make it hard on my stomach, but prove why the NFL is king. Any team can win in any contest. It is crazy, and the 1972 Miami Dolphins can pop the corks on the champagne as their unbeaten record will last another season. With all that being said here is a quick look at my week six NFL power rankings:
- Jets (even from last week)- They have won four in a row, but the offense stalled this week
- Ravens (even)- Ed Reed is coming back and they should get better
- Steelers (even)- They survive Big Ben’s suspension
- Falcons (+1)- They have also won four in a row
- Colts (+3)- Peyton did not throw for a TD, but they beat the Chiefs
- Patriots (+3)- They have revamped their offense
- Saints (-3)- Loss to the Cardinals is a tough one to swallow
- Giants (+12)- Riding a winning streak and now they get the Lions at home
- Texans (-2)- The Giants defense shut them down
- Packers (-4)- Injuries are a major concern now
- Eagles (+6)- Vick gets a chance against the Falcons
- Titans (+6)- Chris Johnson needs to step it up some more
- Chiefs (-3)- A tough loss, and now a challenge against the Texans
- Bears (even)- Beating Carolina is not an accomplishment
- Dolphins (-3)- needed a break after back to back divisional loses
- Redskins (+9)- I am as surprised as you are
- Chargers (-6)- an ugly loss to the Raiders
- Vikings (-2)- Favre looked very, very old and hurt
- Cowboys (-6)- chance at playoffs slipping away
- Buccaneers (+4)- Josh Freeman has a great week
- Jaguars (+1)- in a four way tie in teh AFC South
- Bengals (-7)- When will TO go all TO
- Broncos (-4)- must find some balance with the run game
- Lions (+6)- they looked very good beating the Rams
- Seahawks (+7)- Lynch may be their answer
- Rams (-5)- Clayton loss hurts very badly
- Cardinals (-2)- Sure they won, but the offense is not good
- Raiders (even)- sure they won, but they are not good
- Browns (-2)- 0-5 and Mangini on the hot seat
- 49ers (-1)- this is getting ugly, and they may have to fire Samurai Mike
- Panthers (even)- 0-5 and not looking good
- Bills (even)- They are a complete joke
