Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are ready to announce their breakup after the release of the final Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 DVD , or at least that’s the rumors circulating around Hollywood.
The famous couple has reportedly been broken up for some time, but the Twilight actors maintained the appearance of a relationship so as not to hurt the film or its popularity with its rabid fans, Entertainmentwise reported.
“Rob & Kristen were asked to not announce a break-up or any relationship trouble until the DVD has been out for a few weeks and everything has sold,” a source revealed to Hollywooodlife . “Since the first couple weeks are the times when the DVD will sell like wildfire. The more DVDs sold, the more money for them. So they are abiding by the request.”
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have already been apart for some time. Pattinson has been in Australia filming his new movie, The Rover , while Stewart is at home in Los Angeles. The situation has been referred to as a “trial separation,” but Radar Online reported that Stewart was desperate to get to Australia in an attempt to save the relationship.
The couple split this summer after Kristen Stewart’s very public tryst with her Snow White and the Huntsmen director Rupert Sanders. Stewart issued a public apology to Pattinson and others she hurt, but it apparently didn’t end there.
Stewart actually apologized again back in December , leaving some to wonder whether there was trouble between the couple.
This wouldn’t be the first time that rumors have centered on whether Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were lying about their relationship. After the Rupert Sanders scandal broke, some people speculated that the entire affair was an act in order to boost the careers of those involved — though Sanders’ recent divorce from wife Liberty Ross seems to quash that theory.
