Amanda Bynes’ parents plan to tell the judge that she’s in serious danger of hurting herself.
Lynn and Rick Bynes, parents of the troubled 27-year-old What I Like About You actress, are planning to convince the judge this morning to give them temporary conservatorship of their daughter. Alongside their lawyer Tamar Arminak, they will tell him that Amanda Bynes is “in serious danger and could cause physical harm to herself.”
This comes as no surprise to those of us who have been following the ongoing shenanigans of the teen star on Twitter this year as she seemed to slip further and further into a downward spiral rivaling that of Lindsay Lohan. Much like the fellow child actress, Amanda Bynes is now hopefully on her way to receiving treatment if her condition is proven real.
Unlike Lindsay Lohan, however, Amanda Bynes was hospitalized after being seen near her burning clothes in a parking lot, as previously reported by The Inquisitr . Allegedly she had even doused her dog in gasoline by accident.
Everything came to a head for Amanda Bynes after months of taking to Twitter, calling random celebrities “ugly,” and then making amends after deleting the inflammatory tweets. She had been planning to get plastic surgery again while on a diet that could have left her dangerously underweight, all in the hopes of trying to win over a man she claimed was not on Twitter.
If Amanda Bynes ‘ parents can get temporary conservatorship of their daughter, they plan on filing to make it permanent, much like Britney Spears’ father had done upon her downfall. It is believed that Amanda Bynes may be suffering from Schizophrenia , and may need to be supervised so she doesn’t harm herself.
TMZ states that Amanda Bynes will not be charged with a crime, as her actions could have been fueled by serious mental illness. If it is determined that she is indeed mentally ill, her parents are hoping to keep her in their care, as she is apparently incapable of making sound financial decisions.
