The #SongSongCouple, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, is getting married in October. The news simultaneously broke the hearts of admirers, which apparently includes Joong Ki’s best bro, Lee Kwang Soo.
Their Bromance Started Way Back
Lee Kwang Soo and Song Joong Ki first hit it off when they were cast in the variety show Running Man , per Asia One . The former is still in the show, but the Descendants of the Sun actor left after the 41 st episode. Still, the two maintained a good relationship over the years.
Kwang Soo eventually made a cameo in Joong Ki’s drama, DotS, in which he was the lead actor. His appearance there was the story behind the photos he posted on social media in response to the #SongSongCouple engagement.
Lee Kwang Soo took to Instagram to air his hilarious reaction to his best bud getting married to someone else. Being his usual self, the Running Man cast member created a collage of photos of a rock and Song Joong Ki writing on the rock.
“Joong Ki [heart] Kwang Soo (Asia’s Prince) 2015.10.14,” he wrote on the rock (translated).
Then Kwang Soo topped it all off with a sad and cute caption.
“What was all this, then?”
Was Lee Kwang Soo Kept In The Dark?
The Instagram post has since gone viral with over 500,000 likes and 27,000 comments as of this writing. According to International Business Times , some fans took the post too seriously and speculated that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo did not tell their good friend of their plans. However, many believe that Lee Kwang Soo is one of the few that actually knows, as hinted by his guilty smile.

Nonetheless, fans are in full support of Joong Ki and Hye Kyo’s wedding in October. Their romance started on the set of Descendants of the Sun , where their on-screen chemistry led the drama to a huge success worldwide. Fans immediately shipped the #SongSongCouple, and although it took some time before the two admitted their relationship, their admirers always knew that there was something between them.
Now the question is who will be Song Joong Ki’s best man? Will it be Lee Kwang Soo?
