While Queen are no strangers to music videogames – Queen songs have appeared in Rock Band and LEGO Rock Band – they’ve only had one band-centric game based around them – SingStar Queen . Which misses the point, because while Sir Fred of Mercury was undoubtedly a fabulous vocalist, you know Queen are all about rawking out Wayne’s World -style.
In short, the band’s an obvious choice for one of these still-popular music games with plastic guitars (a hell of a lot moreso than bleedin’ Green Day ). Someone at Activision clearly thinks the same, because Queen guitarist Brian May spilled to DN.se that Guitar Hero: Queen is in development, due to release in 2011.
He then went on to say he could not reveal any more at the time because it was “a secret”. Think you’ll find you already let the secret out Brian. And this man has a PhD . Seriously.
