Prince Harry is going bald like his brother and their father, according to a leading hair loss expert.
Recent images of the royal during a visit to the Kananelo Centre in Lesotho appear to show that his hair is beginning to thin. Prince William, his older brother, started to lose his hair in his early 20s and was then noticeably bald by 25.
Harry appears to have gone through this process a little later. Britain’s leading hair loss expert, Asim Shahmalak, has been voicing his opinion on Harry’s depleting dome.
“Around a quarter of men start going bald before the age of 30, so this is hardly a big surprise especially when it runs in the family as it does for the Windsors,” remarked Shahmalak.
He then continued, “If Harry’s hair loss progresses in the normal way, I would expect him to have a significant bald patch around his crown by the time he is 40. It will be worse if it also spreads to his hairline as it has with his brother.”
Warning Harry of how it might affect his personality, Shahmalak, noted, “Hair loss can have a devastating impact on a young man like Harry. It can shatter their confidence and lead to significant loss of self esteem.”
Hair loss is a common theme throughout Prince Harry’s family. His father, Prince Charles, his grandfather, Prince Philip, and both his uncles, Prince’s Andrew and Edward suffer from it.
Harry’s mother’s family also have this gene on her side too, as Princess Diana’s father Earl Spencer was bald.
Shahmalak concluded, “There is a strong family gene on both sides of Harry’s family. He is lucky that it has kicked in a bit later than his brother William, but the sings are not good for Harry.”
