Telltale games has announced a brand new game based on the DC comic Fables titled the Wolf Among Us . The game will be hitting the Xbox 360, the Playstation 3, PC and Mac this summer.
Telltale games is probably best known for their Walking Dead video game series. That game originally launched on the Xbox 360 and PS3 as well as the PC before eventually making the move to iOS.
The Walking Dead is moving over to the PS Vita later this year. The company is going to attempt to cash in on yet another popular graphic novel with this new title.
The Wolf Among Us is based on the Fables character Bigby Wolf, who is of course better known as the fairytale character, the “Big Bad Wolf”. This particular game will actually be set before the events of the first DC comics issue.
Bigby is the sheriff of a community that is hidden away in New York City that houses all manner of fairytale characters including the group’s main administrator in the form of Snow White.
Telltale games will give players the ability to interact with characters that come from their childhood but have been given a rather “current” and gritty feel to them.
Your job as Bigby will to try and keep order in a society that has the feel of myth and the problems of the real world, such as a chain smoking little pig.

Fans of the graphic novel, which has won more than a dozen Eisner awards will able to sort of rewrite the story lines that they read about in the books and carry out adventures in a way that will transport them to the community even more than they’d been able to experience in the texts.
