Both Amanda Knox and former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, with whom she was arrested and subsequently jailed alongside for four years, are planning books about their respective ordeals following the murder of British student and roommate of Knox Meredith Kercher.

Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were released from prison in 201 1 after they were acquitted of Kercher’s murder, and news soon followed that Knox had signed a book deal worth $4 million . It was later revealed that Sollecito also got signed to pen a tell-all about the night of the murder, trial, imprisonment, and acquittal, and now Sollecito’s book Honor Bound is set to hit stores on September 18.

Press organizations obtained an advance copy of Sollecito’s book, which describes his relationship with Amanda Knox from their first meeting. The Telegraph explains:

“Sollecito, then finishing his undergraduate studies in computer science, writes that he met Knox at a classical music concert at the Universita per Stranieri, the University for Foreigners, on Oct 25, 2007 – a week before Kercher’s death …”

“He asked for her number, and she told him to come by the bar where she’d be working later that night … At the end of the shift, he writes, they took a walk, held hands and kissed. She accepted an invitation to come back to his apartment and spent the night.”

In the book, Sollecito also describes comforting Amanda Knox as Italian police swept their flat when it was a crime scene and the questioning after the murder that turned uncomfortable when Knox behaved strangely at the police station.

Amanda Knox’s version of events will be released in a book due out in the Spring.
