Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie married on Christmas Day, according to a new report that suggests Hollywood’s A-list power couple tied the knot in a private ceremony.
The Daily Telegraph claims Brad and Angelina got hitched at the private Parrot Cay estate on the Caribbean’s Turks and Caicos Islands.
Pitt and Jolie announced their engagement in April 2012. The Telegraph reports how the couple spent the holiday season with their six children and Brad’s parents, brother, and sister at the super-exclusive Parrot Cay estate, a luxury property owned by fashion designer Donna Karan. Local journalist Jeffrey Slonim claims on his blog that the family traveled with no fewer than 12 nannies — a pair of nannies for each kid!
Forty-nine-year-old Pitt and 37-year-old Jolie have been together for seven years, the pair having first met on the set of 2005’s Mr. Mrs. Smith .
If Brad and Angelina married on Christmas Day as The Telegraph claims, it may not be too surprising. Back in November, Pitt told reporters at the New York premiere of Killing Me Softly :
“The time [for marriage] is nigh. It’s soon. I got a good feeling about it. I am getting more pressure from my kids, and it is something I want to do within their lifetime, but I also feel like the time has come.”
Just days later, the couple were spotted buying wedding rings in early December by In Touch .
