It’s Nov. 30, and that means NBC’s Christmas programming is kicking into high-gear. Tonight is the premiere of Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love , which is the follow-up to her heartwarming 2015 Christmas movie, Coat of Many Colors. The premiere comes as Dolly Parton has expressed personal heartache in a statement on her website for those affected by the Smoky Mountains fire that threatened Dollywood and has wreaked havoc on many in the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee areas. Dolly Parton recently hosted a red carpet premiere for Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love at Dollywood and teamed up with the National Park Service (NPS) and Smokey the Bear to release a public service announcement video regarding wildfires. Just several days after the video’s release, Dollywood was under threat. Dolly released the following statement.
“I have been watching the terrible fires in the Great Smoky Mountains and I am heartbroken. I am praying for all the families affected by the fire and the firefighters who are working so hard to keep everyone safe. It is a blessing that my Dollywood theme park, the DreamMore Resort and so many businesses in Pigeon Forge have been spared.”

In addition to sharing her sadness regarding the Smoky Mountain fire, Dolly Parton is sharing her enthusiasm and excitement regarding tonight’s premiere. She’s shared photos and videos on Twitter and Facebook and has released a statement through NBC about the movie.
“I was so overwhelmed and touched by how many people watched Coat of Many Colors and their reaction to it. The song “Coat of Many Colors,” of course, has always been my favorite and has touched so many people through the years, especially me. It is a true story from a very special time in my childhood. I am so happy to share this story with the viewers and to say there is so much more to tell because mine truly has been a life of many colors. I hope the viewers will fall in love all over again.”
Dolly Parton has been quite the guest artist on NBC lately. She will appear in tonight’s Christmas at Rockefeller Center and appeared on the Nov. 29 episode of The Voice, where she sang Jolene with Miley Cyrus and Pentatonix. You may see that video below. Pentatonix will premiere the Pentatonix Christmas Special on Dec. 14, on NBC, and it is unclear at this point if Dolly Parton will be one of the surprise guests. With the Jolene cover with Pentatonix, it’s possible. NBC also announced that Pentatonix would be one of the musical performers at Christmas at Rockefeller Center that airs at 8 p.m. ET, just before Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love.
