In a recent interview Blake Shelton admits that he wants his buddy Adam Levine to be more like him.
Shelton and Levine, were said to be having a bromance (romance between two dudes) while working as judges on The Voice.
The supposed bromance was all over the news while season three of the popular reality TV show was being broadcast. Those rumors died down a bit this past season, when Usher came into the picture.
It was reported that Usher was Blake’s new favorite. Of course this is all in good fun as Shelton is married to fellow country star Miranda Lambert and Adam Levine is the proverbial ladies man.
Now Blake is blaming Levine for being so healthy and getting him frustrated over it.
“I get frustrated with Adam because, to me, rock stars are supposed to be drunk all the time. But he’s very healthy,” Blake Shelton told Men’s Journal, which features the country star on its cover.
The country star goes on to say that Adam takes very good care of himself, unlike many in the business.
“He takes care of himself. And it drives me crazy, because I want him to be more like me. Drunk all the time.” Shelton adds jokingly.
Shelton also dishes on wife Miranda during the interview saying that she is tough.
“I don’t give her too much sh**, that’s like poking a bear,” he said. “She’s as lovable as can be – until you cross her. She’ll go from zero to 100 real quick. If Miranda has an inkling you’re saying something hardass to her, it’s gonna be a problem.”
Blake is running on a high from his third win in The Voice. Danielle Bradbery won it all for coach Blake with her powerful vocals despite being only 16-years-old.
Blake Shelton and Adam Levine return to The Voice on NBC next season.
