Two Guide dogs helped their blind owners find love at a two week Guide Dog Training course in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, UK.

Going in alone to find love with sight is hard enough, when it came to Claire Johnson, 50, and Mark Gaffey, 52, the had extra help from their seeing-eye-dogs according to Yahoo News .

In a video posted on YouTube, Gaffey, who has been blind from birth says, “Everyone was saying how much our two dogs seemed to be getting much more friendly with one another than any of the other dogs.”

Johnson added, “In fact, the trainer said it was the romance of the course – the two dogs would always pull towards one another, play with one another….” Johnson lost her sight at the age of 24 due to diabetes .

The Telegraph explains that the students participating in the training program were required to stay at the same hotel, so it was just a matter of time before Claire and Mark would see more of each other outside of the class.

While their guide dogs were socializing, and helping the couple find love, they discovered that they live just over a mile from each other in Stoke-on-Trent. With their closeness in mind the couple made plans to keep in touch with one another regarding progress with their dogs.

Quickly their friendship turned into love after Claire invited Mark for coffee closer to home. Every time the four of them would meet the meetings lasted longer and longer. With a chuckle Johnson says,”Eventually we were having 3 ½ hour lunches!”

Finally after a few long lunches Gaffey finally made his move and sent her a text message that read, “If you’d let me, I’d make your world a whole lot happier!” Claire agreed and they have been together ever since.

The couple has been together for 11 months and Mark proposed to Clair on Valentine’s Day. They are planning to be wed in March 2014 with the guide dogs that helped the couple find love acting as their official ring bearers.
