It looks like Christiano Ronaldo has ruled out a return to Manchester United. The soccer star said today that he will always have a special place in his heart for his former team but that his future was with Real Madrid.
Ronaldo said: “Manchester United are a club that has been in my heart since I was there, everyone knows that I have passion with that club. But my future now is with Real Madrid and I want to be there.”
Rumors have been circulating recently that Ronaldo was eying a return to Manchester Reunited. The soccer star ended the rumors today saying that he had no plans to return to Manchester United.
Ronaldo said: “Of course I enjoy playing there [Real Madrid]. I play there for four years so I want to continue there.”
The 28-year-old has had a pretty successful career since he joined Madrid in 2009. In 1 99 appearances, Ronaldo has scored 201 goals .
Sky News reports that Ronaldo has two more years on his contract with Madrid. The team is hoping that Ronaldo will retire in a Real Madrid jersey but the soccer star wasn’t ready to look that far into the future.
Ronald said: “It is not the day to speak about my future. I am going to have time to do that before the preseason. Basically it is now time to rest after 10 months of a long season.”
