A Las Vegas zip line called SlotZilla will soon allow tourists a new way to see the iconic city’s downtown lights as they are shot out of the mouth of an 11-story slot machine and flown down a zip line for five blocks past some of Vegas’ oldest hotels.

Officials unveiled plans for SlotZilla, the new Vegas zip line, on Tuesday on the city’s downtown promenade called the Fremont Street Experience, reports Fox News .

Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman was present as officials unveiled the plans for Slotzilla, saying that the zip line will quickly become a Vegas landmark. Goodman stated:

“This is going to be known around the world: Come ride our SlotZilla.”

The massive 11-story zip line will cost about $11 million to build. Officials will charge between $20 and $30 for a chance to ride SlotZilla.

There is already a temporary zip line that has been working for two years to scoot tourists beneath a metal canopy, which displays an hourly light show.

The new Las Vegas zip line will replace the smaller temporary one. The Los Angeles Times notes that the new ride will give riders two different options, the Zipline, a shorter, lower ride, or the Zoomline, which will send riders fling almost a third of a mile down the line along a giant video screen canopy.

There won’t be a big drop along the line, but the new zip line SlotZilla’s creators have devised what they describe as a “first-of-its-kind propulsion launch system.”

Construction on the new Las Vegas zip line is set to begin in January and it should be operational in June.
