Shane McMahon has received an overwhelming amount of support from WWE fans since he made his shocking return to the company back on February 22, and he’s remained a regular character on WWE television because of that support.
Shane O’Mac left WWE six years ago to pursue his own business interests. But also, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer , one of the biggest reasons why Shane decided to leave WWE back in 2009 was because it was made clear to him that his sister Stephanie and his brother-in-law Paul “Triple H” Levesque would be running the company instead of him whenever Vince McMahon decides to step aside.
During his time away, Shane never went out of his way to bash WWE. In fact, he pretty much stayed out of the public eye during his seven-year hiatus.
Now, WWE is advertising that Shane McMahon will be the guest on a “tell-all podcast,” which will be hosted by WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley. The one-hour interview will air on the WWE Network, following May 23’s Raw show.
This will be Foley’s first time hosting a live podcast, and it’ll be the first time WWE has had someone other than Chris Jericho or “Stone Cold” Steve Austin host a WWE Network podcast. Of course, Foley has been a guest on a ton of wrestling podcasts, most notably the live Steve Austin Show , which aired on the WWE Network just a few days before WrestleMania 32 .

The advertisement of WWE’s websiteis suggesting that Shane McMahon will finally tell WWE fans why he left the company back in 2010, what he’s been up to since leaving the company, and how his surprise return to the company and his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32came about.
“The shocking return of Shane McMahon to Raw on February 22, after more than six-years away from WWE, brought forth a myriad of questions. Why did Shane O’Mac retire from WWE in 2010? What has he been up to since leaving the WWE Universe? How did his surprise homecoming to WWE come about? What are Shane’s future plans in WWE? The only son of WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon has remained mum on these topics… until now.”
Some of the WWE Network podcasts have been very newsworthy, most notably the very first Steve Austin Show with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, where Vince made some very unpopular comments about Cesaro and some other wrestlers in the WWE locker room.
When Shane McMahon returned, he commented on the fact that WWE’s ratings had been steadily declining over the last few years and that he decided to return because he wanted to make sure that the company doesn’t go out of business. Now, obviously Shane isn’t back in the company as an executive, but according to the Wrestling Observer , there was a lot of truth to Shane’s comeback speech.
It’s unlikely that Shane will completely trash WWE for an hour during the “tell-all podcast.” But he may say a few negative things about the company.
Nothing is off limits. Looking forward to sitting down with Mick. https://t.co/OkwRqCIwjo

Mick Foley, who, as previously mentioned, will be hosting the podcast, has been very outspoken about the changes he feels WWE needs to make. Shane has also been very outspoken about the need for change in WWE. So, that could be a huge part of their conversation on May 23.
Some are wondering just how long Shane will remain a part of WWE, and according to WWE, he’ll let everyone know how long he’s planning on sticking around during the podcast.
Most knew that it was only a matter of time before WWE had Shane McMahon be a guest on one of their podcasts, but most assumed that the host would be Steve Austin, not Mick Foley. But Foley and Shane should make a great duo, and the show should end up being very newsworthy.
