Drake may have just released his long-awaited fourth studio album, Views , on Friday, but is the “One Dance” rapper already gearing up for a new mixtape release in the near future?

During an in-depth interview with Zane Lowe for a special episode of OVO Sound Radio on Thursday, Drake opened up about his plans for releasing even more new music this summer while also hinting at the possibility of revisiting his rumored collaborative mixtape, Wolves , with Kanye West.

Following the midnight release of Views via Apple Music on Friday, Drake sat down with Lowe to discuss a variety of topics concerning his fourth studio album including his upcoming Summer Sixteen Tour with Future, the ongoing legal battles between Young Money and Cash Money, and his surprise collaboration with Jay Z and Kanye West for one of Views ‘ lead singles, “Pop Style.”

Speaking on his upcoming Summer Sixteen Tour with Future, Drake opened up about his plans to incorporate music from his What A Time To Be Alive mixtape with Future and newly released Views album into the set list for the tour. While fans may be eager to see Future and Drake perform their hit tracks like “Jumpman,” “Digital Dash,” and “Big Rings” together live for the first time, Drake admitted that he already has “an arsenal” of new songs prepared for the summer tour.

“I got other songs coming out this summer too, just stuff that I got in the stash,” Drake reveals to Lowe when asked about his set list for the upcoming tour. “By the time we get to tour I’m gonna have an arsenal of songs that don’t have anything to do with Views that are ready to be performed,” Pitchfork reports.

In addition to his joint Summer Sixteen Tour with Future, Drake, and Lowe also discuss the inspiration behind a number of the album’s star-studded collaborations, which includes features from Rihanna, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Pimp C, dvsn, Wizkid, and Kyla, before delving into the rapper’s decision to cut Kanye West and Jay Z’s contribution to his previously released track, “Pop Style,” Hip Hop DX reports.

“Well, Jay didn’t really do a verse,” Drake explained of Jay Z’s one-line contribution to the track, prompting Lowe to laugh before pressing, “How come he only did one line?”

“Really I was just trying to get [Kanye West] on it at first and ‘Ye just sent it to me like that like, ‘Yo, Jay kind of just did my first few lines for me and he was just here and that’s how we flexed it,’” Drake revealed of West and Jay Z’s contribution to the track. “It was cool you know, he was all excited about [putting The Throne on the record] like, ‘Yo, just put ‘The Throne’ it’ll be a crazy moment!’”

Drake further explains, “I mean of course people want to hear Jay Z rap, right? So hearing him do two lines might be frustrating to some people.”

Despite having cut Kanye West and Jay Z’s verses from the album version of the track, Drake admits that he and West have already recorded a few new songs together before giving an update on the status of his and West’s rumored joint mixtape, Wolves .

“We have a few things that we’ve worked on and it’s always just about finding a place for it. With him you never know, he may call me up tonight and be like, ‘Hey these two songs we did together are coming out,’ but definitely ‘Ye is one of my favorite people period. I hope we get some more music out,” Drake explains of his collaborations with Kanye West before hinting that their long-awaited Wolves mixtape may surface in the future.

“We had plans, we were supposed to do a mixtape together, album together…so maybe we’ll get that done.”
