Wrestling fans can watch the WWE Royal Rumble 2016 live online and see if Roman Reigns can be the first wrestler to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against 29 contenders all at once.

For the first time in WWE history, the most coveted belt will be on the line at the Royal Rumble , where the only way to eliminate contenders is to toss them over the top rope and out of the ring. And, to make matters harder for Roman Reigns, WWE boss Vince McMahon has made Roman Reigns the first man into the ring.

The Royal Rumble starts at 8 p.m. ET on the WWE Network and on pay-per-view, where it comes with a $54.99 fee to order. There is a way around that fee with the WWE giving fans an opportunity to watch the entire Royal Rumble 2016 absolutely free (the link can be found below).

Wrestling fans who watch the WWE Royal Rumble 2016 live online will see plenty of action outside the 30-man Royal Rumble . Kevin Owen and Dean Ambrose will be facing off in a Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and The New Day will be facing The Usos for the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Here is the full card for the WWE Royal Rumble 2016 (via SB Nation ):

  • Fatal 4-Way Kickoff Match to qualify for the Royal Rumble Match: Darren Young & Damien Sandow vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Ascension vs. Mark Henry & Jack Swagger

Like almost every year, the 2016 Royal Rumble is surrounded by rumors in the lead-up to the event. The WWE is purposely guarded about much of the event and always manages to fit a few surprises in, leaving fans guessing as to what it might be.

For the Royal Rumble , the WWE has a tendency to throw in a few surprise entrants, including some retired wrestlers or even non-wrestlers. WhatCulture writer speculated that this year former WWE Champions Kurt Angle and Jeff Hardy could end up in the event, as both had expressed some interest in competing.

“Just like Anderson and Gallows, though, Hardy and Angle have other commitments to finish up before they can think about wrestling elsewhere. Beyond that, each man’s situation is very different – Hardy is only 38 years old and has seemingly gotten the better of his long-standing substance abuse issues, making him a good candidate for a WWE return (though he’s also working on an injured leg). Angle, on the other hand, is 47, and while he has similarly made great strides in his battles with addiction, he has suffered many well-publicized injuries that have greatly damaged his body. Angle reached out to WWE about a reduced-schedule return last year, and Triple H reportedly wasn’t interested.”
