Kelly Osbourne opened up in an interview with RadarOnline about a recent drunken episode onboard a flight, saying that she lost control after looking up information regarding multiple sclerosis and its most severe symptoms.
RadarOnline reports that Osbourne admitted that she’s a “hypocrite” for drinking after going through four stints of rehab, but says she had a good excuse, with her brother Jack’s recent MS diagnosis. She stated:
“People always want you to be the pretty little perfect girl next door and I have never been that, so I don’t understand why people have always tried to make me that. I don’t want to be perfect, and I don’t want to be the prettiest girl in the room. I want to be able to express my emotions whenever I feel like it and not be judged for it.”
The Huffington Post reports that the 27-year-old admitted to using Vicodin since she was 13, until she hit a breaking point of taking 100 pills per day and coughing up blood. Now, however, Kelly Osbourne says that she is no longer using drugs, but that she shouldn’t be criticized for her decision to continue drinking.
Kelly defended her decision by stating during the interview that:
“If in any way my life appeared unmanageable, if I wasn’t showing up to work, I seemed depressed, I was not a professional then I would say yes my life is unmanageable. I don’t believe in denying myself the life I want to live. I have to pay for the mistakes I make and I understand that.”
RadarOnline reports that Kelly admitted to using the alcohol as a numbing solution after her brother’s diagnosis, saying that it “wasn’t even intentional either.” She confessed:
“I thought that I had already cried my way through it. I realized it was the first time I was away from my family since we found out, the first time I wasn’t right next to somebody I had to keep my chin up for and I just lost it.”
Kelly Osbourne’s drunken in-flight episode won’t affect her bond with parents Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, or with her brother Jack.
