24 year-old reality television star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi never dreamed her life would turn out this way with the camera’s and paparazzi. However, when she found out that she was all of a sudden expecting a child , it was the idea of having to share the news with her father that caused her the most anxiety.
For someone who isn’t one to hold back when the camera’s are rolling, it’s rather surprising to hear Snooki actually admit that having to break the news to her father was going to be an issue.
“Oh, I was scared to tell my dad, of course!” says the 24-year-old to People Magazine .
Luckily, Polizzi says that she has an understanding family that will back her in anything that she does, giving her the confidence to face her unplanned pregnancy without having to worry about the issues that might arise with an unsupportive family.
“[My dad] is excited now. I think [my parents] are more excited than we are,” Snooki continued, adding,
“I’m their only child and this is going to be their [first] grandchild.”
With her spinoff of the successful MTV branded “Jersey Shore” approaching, Snooki was also worried that her pregnancy might affect the filming and overall production of the show. However, MTV producers embraced the new addition and were still able to continue the production of “Snooki & JWOWW” as it premiered last Thursday.
In regards to her plans to film more reality television when the child gets here, Snooki says that depends on her fiancé.
“As long as he’s comfortable with everything, I would,” she says.
“If not, I might have to step back a little. Now we have a child so there are other factors involved.”
