Drake may be keeping quiet regarding an official release date for his highly anticipated album, Views From the 6 , but it looks like Drake is dropping some hints about the status of his “imminent” album on Instagram.
Just days after Drake previewed a brief clip of some new music on Vine, Drake took to Instagram to share a photo of himself hanging in the studio with producer Noah “40” Shebib, seemingly shooting down fans’ hopes of a surprise release for Views From the 6 in 2015.
While Drake didn’t caption his Instagram post, Noah Shebib shared the same photo to his personal Instagram page with the caption, “VIEWS,” seemingly confirming that he and Drake have yet to put the finishing touches on the record.

With Drake’s apparent confirmation that Views From the 6 isn’t finished just yet, fans took to Twitter to express their impatience with Drake given that Drake promised an “imminent” arrival for Views weeks ago.
One fan writes , “Everybody dropping the music their sitting on before Drake drops Views from the 6 ,” while another adds , “Drake still owe us Views this year.”
The news comes just days after Drake previewed a six-second long clip of a new song while working in the studio.
Drake took to Vine to share the brief video , which merely shows Drake filming the floor of what fans believe to be a recording studio, but neglected to offer any information regarding a title for the new track, NME reports.
While Drake’s Views from the 6 was widely expected to drop in October, Drake announced that he was dedicating the remainder of his year to finishing the album while performing at Austin City Limits last month.
Drake’s continued delay in releasing Views from the 6 comes two months after Drake told The Fader that fans can expect the album to drop “imminently,” but neglected to offer any hints regarding when the album can see digital and retail release.

The latest round of rumors surrounding a release date for Drake’s album came earlier this month after a cryptic video appeared on Twitter suggesting that Views from the 6 would drop on January 6, 2016, Billboard reports.
The video, which was posted to Daily Rap’s Twitter account, begins with the message “The 6 God Is Watching” before warning fans, “Hope you’re prepared to face him.” At the end of the video, “1.6.2015” flashes across the screen, seemingly alluding to a January release for Views .

Despite the teaser, Drake has yet to comment on or confirm the video’s promises of an early 2016 release, leaving some outlets to suspect that the video may either be fan-created or simply serves to further add speculation surrounding Drake’s new album.
In addition to a rumored release date, Drake has also fueled conversation of a potential collaboration with Adele for his new album after hinting at his desire to work with Adele on a remix for “Hotline Bling.”
During last week’s Toronto Raptors-hosted Drake night, Drake was asked whether or not he would be open to collaborating with Adele for a remix of his latest single, prompting Drake to respond , “I’d do anything with Adele. I’d literally go to Adele’s house right now and do laundry for her,” Hot New Hip Hop reports.
While it’s unclear whether or not a collaboration between Drake and Adele would occur in time to make it on the final cut for Views from the 6 , other rumored features for Drake’s upcoming album include Kendrick Lamar, Tinashe, and Willow Smith.
Despite Drake having already dropped two new releases thus far in 2015, including his mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and a collaborative album with Future titled What A Time To Be Alive , it looks like the hype surrounding a release date for Views from the 6 isn’t dying down anytime soon.
