Joel Kinnaman and the rest of “The Killing” cast will finally crack the case they’ve been working on for the past two seasons during Sunday’s show on AMC .

All season long, Kinnaman’s character, Stephen Holder, has been working with the rest of the Seattle Police department to solve the grisly murder of a local teen, Rosie Larsen, according to The Boston Globe.

Joel’s character can be described as scruffy, gangly, and shrewd, but he fools everyone with his act, even two girls early in the drama’s season, who he fooled into smoking “weed” for information about Larsen’s murder. Kinnaman stated after the scene that:

“It was such a great way to present that character, and I was so inspired by that scene. You ask: Who IS this guy? Do I like him? Do I not? Those are questions I really want asked about the characters I play. It’s so much more interesting to be in a moral gray zone.”

Joel Kinnaman plays along with his partner, Detective Sarah Linden (played by Mireille Enos), and has been keeping viewers guessing for two seasons already (25 days in narrative terms), while they work to solve the grim case. Even Councilman Darren Richmond (Billy Campbell), who is running for Seattle Mayor, may be tied up in the crime.

CBS News notes that the “big reveal” comes not a moment too soon for fans who expected the murder to be solved at the end of last season. Kinnaman stated of last season’s cliffhanger that:

“It was a little bit of mismanaged expectations, marketing-wise…so some people felt tricked.”

Will you be watching AMC’s “The Killing” on Sunday at 9 p.m. when Joel Kinnamon’s character, Stephen Holder, finally learns who murdered Rosie Larsen?
