Mitt Romney (the mega-wealthy vulture capitalist presumptive GOP candidate perhaps best known for strapping a dog to the roof of his car) struck out at the President and believes the whole “Forward” campaign of his incumbent opponent is- get this- out of touch with the American people, particularly on the issue of the Affordable Care Act.
Instead of running on what we know to be true, Mittens has always tried to hang with the regular Joes as if he’s not in a completely different stratosphere of wealth and privilege, and as if he hasn’t always lived in that zone. And just to be clear, there is nothing wrong with that, but it is . Mitt Romney is and and always has been incredibly privileged, something that Barack Obama certainly (as the biracial son of a single mother) cannot claim.
But, according to Romney, it’s Obama who is totally out of touch with everyday Americans, and not the guy with the car elevator that he sees in the mirror every morning. And as for what’s hurting America’s economy, Mitt blames the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare), instead of the wealth extracting, Monopoly money moving banks and financial entities that caused the meltdown.
On Fox and Friends , where Romney can expect to make these sorts of claims unchallenged, the Republican frontrunner said :
“He’s had a number of very revealing comments that show just how far out of touch he is with what’s happening in the country. Yesterday, he said among other things, that he didn’t realize that Obamacare is having any impact on small business.”
Romney continued:
“And then of course his comments that the private sector is ‘doing fine’ at a time when instead you’ve seen growth of our economy below 2 percent for the first quarter, and you have about 15 percent of Americans out of work or stopped looking for work or underemployed… The president is really out of touch with what’s happening across America.”
You are totally right, Mr. Romney! It’s almost as if a bunch of predatory “capitalists” took advantage of legislation loopholes to bleed ailing companies of their last few pennies, converted wages to profits and then hemorrhaged thousands of jobs in the process, wounding the economy! It’s incredibly frustrating when people don’t acknowledge such things!
Let’s all take a minute and consider how truly brave and honest Mitt Romney is for shining a light on the plight of the American people.
