Kate Upton and Justin Verlander have been an item for almost two years. And despite rumors that their relationship may have hit the skids recently, the opposite appears to be true after the couple was spotted on an intimate dinner date earlier this week.
According to the Daily Mail , Verlander and Upton took in a date night in Beverly Hills earlier this week, prompting dismissal of the notion that their relationship was on the rocks.
As the article noted, the couple had been dating in 2013 before Kate broke things off to date Dancing With The Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy. But Justin and Kate ended up back together in 2014, and have been apparently going strong ever since. Hollywood Take is even speculating the pair will be taking it to the next level soon, reporting that Verlander and Upton may be engaged soon.
“Upton, 23, and Verlander, 32, were seen out and about as they walked Upton’s dog and got lunch before heading to a romantic dinner date at Matsuhisa. And they couldn’t take their eyes off one another,” the site reported.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if the couple ultimately took the plunge and made it official, considering how compatible the two seem to be. Upton was recently quoted in an ESPN article, recounting the day Justin Verlander wanted to get “blackout drunk” following an especially bad outing on the baseball diamond that night. And instead of refusing him, Kate just went along, knowing it wasn’t that big a deal. The fact that it was also her birthday and she squashed her plans to help him through the ordeal only further relates the possibility the pair could soon become officially engaged.
“It was my birthday, and he had probably like his worst game ever, and no one had any idea how he’d respond to his worst game ever,” Upton says. “He vented to me in the car and was like, ‘I am going to get blackout drunk.’ So a bunch of us went out and got blackout drunk! I had really good plans to eat popcorn and watch a movie, but he was like, ‘I don’t want to think about it, at all.’ ”
Maxim agrees , calling Upton “the perfect woman,” that Justin should feel lucky to be dating.
“So, in addition to being an understanding girlfriend who doesn’t mind when her guy needs to get blitzed after a hard day at work, she’s a casual baseball fan who goes to meaningless Cubs games in the middle of the season. Just another reason why Upton is pretty much perfect.”
Aside from dating Justin Verlander, Kate Upton also keeps busy in the modeling and acting world. She recently rocked a body suit for a shoot for W Magazine in Korea, according to the Huffington Post .

She also was recently spotted sporting a low cut number with an off the shoulder cut to the annual Harper’s Bazaar Evening of Fantasy Celebrating Icons in September that turned many a head on the red carpet.
In addition to modeling, however, Kate Upton is also trying to make it big on the silver screen. She starred in 2014’s The Other Woman along with Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann as the unwitting accomplice to a duplicitous husband, played by Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. And she’s currently filming a new comedy called The Layover, alongside stars William H. Macy, Felicity Huffman, and actress Alexandra Daddario.
