Teen Mom 2 Season 7 will likely air sometime next year. Although MTV has yet to release an official statement confirming the news, the Ashley’s Reality Roundup revealed on September 23 that Teen Mom 2 Season 7 was happening .
According to the site, several show sources confirmed the news of Teen Mom 2 Season 7, with the cast and crew, including Leah Messer, Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry, and Chelsea Houska, receiving news of Teen Mom 2 Season 7 “a few weeks ago.”
The Ashley’s sources went on to reveal the certain members of the cast were scheduled to begin shooting scenes for Teen Mom 2 Season 7 “within the next two weeks,” and, at this point, it is “almost certain” that all four of the girls will return to the show for Teen Mom 2 Season 7.
“I highly doubt that they would continue without one of the lead girls,” the source explained.
That said, Messer’s role on Teen Mom 2 Season 7 was thought to be in jeopardy just one week ago due to shocking statements shared on Twitter. In a number of tweets to fans ahead of last week’s episode, Messer alleged a meeting between her ex-husbands, Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert, had been “scripted” and “set up.”

“In the scene you can tell Jeremy was looking over at a producer saying something about a prescription pill problem and they edit it to where it looks as if he is saying that to Corey. [I] don’t care if I do get in trouble this is BS… I should open my mouth way more… I talked to Jeremy the whole time… Jeremy can’t stand Corey… This was definitely SET UP and not even the truth.”
While Messer’s allegations against the network, and her exes, were certainly quite shocking, and hinted at her possible exit from the series, The Ashley’s source said nothing about MTV giving her the boot ahead of Teen Mom 2 Season 7, and claimed rumors of Simms’ possible exit from the show had yet to be confirmed.
Back in July, a source told Life & Style that Simms would not be featured on Teen Mom 2 Season 7, because he had quit the show. The magazine also alleged Calvert may follow his lead before production on Teen Mom 2 Season 7 began.
At this point, an air date for Teen Mom 2 Season 7 has not yet been announced.
