Tamra Barney sat down with Vicki Gunvalson on Monday night’s new episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County , and during their chat, Tamra Barney was accused of not being a friend to her longtime co-star. According to Gunvalson, if Tamra Barney were truly her friend, she would have stood up against Meghan King Edmonds when she admitted to contacting Brooks Ayers’ ex-girlfriend in hopes of gaining more information about his allegedly fake cancer diagnosis.
Days later, Radar Online claimed the two women had ended their friendship for good after Tamra Barney committed the “ultimate betrayal.”
“Vicki isn’t talking to [Tamra Barney] and is vowing to cut her out of her life for good this time. Vicki had been willing to give [Tamra Barney] another chance after all of the divorce drama with ex-husband, Simon Barney, but this was the final straw.”
In addition to forming a close friendship with Meghan King Edmonds, whom she recently visited with in St. Louis, Tamra Barney appeared to side with Edmonds regarding her claims that Ayers was possibly lying about his stage 3 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
“[Tamra Barney] went behind Vicki’s back for months betraying her confidence about Brooks’ cancer. Even though Vicki and Brooks are no longer together, she can’t forgive Tamra for this ultimate betrayal. There is no coming back for Vicki and [Tamra Barney]. Their relationship was already on a very fragile ground, and this was the nail in the coffin.”
While the report appeared to be plausible due to Tamra Barney’s closeness with Edmonds, even months after filming wrapped, Gunvalson has since set the record straight.
On September 23, in response to Radar Online ‘s report regarding Tamra Barney’s betrayal, Gunvalson told Real Mr. Housewife , “There is no truth to this report.”
Meanwhile, Tamra Barney and Gunvalson haven’t been seen together in several weeks, aside from on episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County , hinting that things between them may not be all that great. While Gunvalson denies having cut her out completely, she can’t possibly be happy about Tamra Barney’s newfound friendship with Edmonds, who labeled Gunvalson as “bitter” and an “old woman,” among other things, throughout Season 10.
Tamra Barney’s friend and Edmonds’ step-daughter, Hayley, also got in on their feud, calling Gunvalson a “dumb b****” on Twitter.
