A day after Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 2 show, fashion critic Cathy Hory slammed the fashion show and called it “kind of amusing .”

In her article in New York Magazine’s The Cut , Hory said the clothes were “woebegone” and “downcast.” She also criticized how the clothes were presented to the audience.

“The presentation was in a white-walled basement in Chelsea, with the audience sitting on either side of a wide floor. As a drill sergeant barked out commands –’First row!’ – a line of models appeared, followed by a second and a third, all of them in tights or leggings or stretch shorts and tops that looked a lot like Spanx,” wrote Hory about Kanye West’s fashion show.

In her scathing review of Kanye West’s clothing line, the former New York Times fashion critic added that the clothes looked like what a POW would wear. She also criticized those who continue to support Kanye West’s fashion aspirations given the quality of his clothes. The critic didn’t mine words.

“This second round of drab, broken-down basics proved he can’t be taken seriously as a designer, but nevertheless many people in fashion do seem to take West seriously – they keep showing up expectantly for his performances – and that makes them fools.”

Cathy Hory added that those who continue to support Kanye West as a designer wouldn’t be as receptive if the designs were from an unknown.

But it’s not just Cathy Hory who loathed Kanye West’s fashion collection.

Rapper Ice T thought West’s designs looked like slave gear . In a tweet, Ice T said, “kanye’s fashion show stuff looks like future Slave gear t me…Just saying.”

A handful of Twitter users also noticed that Yeezy Season 2 was inspired by Star Wars and that the clothes looked like they were made for Jedis.

However, a source close to Kanye West, 38, said that the rapper doesn’t care the least about what his haters have to say.

“People hate on Kanye all the time. He doesn’t care in the least. He ignores haters. He doesn’t pay attention to all the bitter critics,” the source told Us Weekly .

“The show was beautiful and cool,” the insider commented about Kanye West’s fashion show. “And Kanye has never failed in this space. His Adidas shoes sell online for so much money. From a success standpoint, he is only reinforced by the fact that all he ever touches, all his collections and collaborations, sell out so quickly.”
