Andy Cohen hosted a special episode of Watch What Happens Live on Monday night. The show, titled The Real Housewives of New York: 100th Episode Watch What Happens Live , honored the 100th episode of Andy Cohen’s hit series, and included a number of the current and past stars of the series. However, longtime star Jill Zarin was not included, which raised more than a few questions from fans.
Because Zarin starred on Andy Cohen’s show for four seasons in a full-time role, fans anticipated she would be featured, but instead, it was her former co-star, and on-screen nemesis, Bethenny Frankel, who stole the spotlight.
On September 17, a source spoke to New York Daily News’ Confidenti@l about Zarin’s absence .
“If you’re going to do a show revisiting the years of the New York ladies, you need to address the epic Bethenny Frankel/Jill fight (sparked by a feud over appearances on other shows), and you need to get more than just Bethenny’s side. It’s unfair and Jill is baffled as to why [Andy Cohen] is holding a grudge. She would have been happy to have been interviewed.”
According to the source, Andy Cohen’s former Real Housewives cast member, Zarin, was spotted this week in New York City, where she attended a number of Fashion Week events. However, when she was asked to comment on Andy Cohen’s recent special, her representative stopped her from doing so.

“Unfortunately, she’s working on a movie right now, and the movie studio prohibits her from talking about anything ‘Housewives.’ She’s actually an actress now! She has a new movie coming out in October.”
Andy Cohen was said to have “naturally chose his friend Bethenny” to tell her side of the drama, as opposed to allowing the two former co-stars to battle out their issues.
Aside from Frankel, a number of wives from The Real Housewives of New York City appeared in the special, including Kelly Bensimon, Aviva Drescher, de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Carole Radziwill, Singer, Kristen Taekman, and Heather Thomson.
“Bravo executives have had very little to do with it. This is [Andy Cohen]’s baby and it features a lot of [Andy Cohen] and Bethenny.”
Andy Cohen’s Bravo show has been on the air since January, 2008, and is expected to air its eighth season next year.
