Could Joe Jonas have a new band? Just a few years after the Jonas Brothers broke up, it looks as if Joe Jonas’ new band could become a reality.
On Thursday, Jonas posted the following video on his Instagram account, captioning it simply @dnce.

Just a day later, Jonas posted a second video with reference to the new musical venture.

Ever since Jonas posted the videos, media outlets, the blogosphere, and social media have all gone crazy with speculation about what exactly DNCE could be.
It seems pretty obvious that DNCE is a new band fronted by Joe Jonas, but until the second video was released, it wasn’t clear who, exactly, Jonas would team up with.
Before the second video was released, MTV rightly speculated that Joe Jonas’ new band would be made up of Jack Lawless, Jin Joo, and Cole Whittle. The second video posted to Joe Jonas’ Instagram confirms the speculation from MTV .
All three of the other band members have ties to Jonas: Lawless was a drummer with the Jonas Brothers, while Joo and Whittle are both close friends of Joe’s. Joo has played guitar with Charlie XCX and Whittle is the bass player for Semi Precious Weapons.
The return to band life marks a change for Joe Jonas, who has recently been focusing on his career as a DJ.
