Britney Spears has good news for her fans. The pop star has decided to extend her residency at Axis at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
Spears confirmed the big news on Wednesday during a show.
“I have some big news tonight … I am going to be in Vegas for two more years! Dates will now run through December 2017.”

Her show, titled Britney: Piece of Me , has been well- received in Las Vegas since it started in 2013. It is not surprising the pop singer is extending her show for two more years.
Previously, Spears stated she was not sure whether or not she would renew her Las Vegas contract. In an interview last month, she said she did not know what to do. She said she was “torn” because she really loved doing the show.
Now, it is clear the pop star has made up her mind.
During her announcement, she happily told the audience she was not ready to say goodbye to her show and crew, whom she considered family.
“I’m not ready to leave Las Vegas yet!” she told the cheering crowd.
Spears told E ! News that with help from her team, she is considering making some changes to the show . The “Piece of Me” hitmaker has promised to level up her performance.
“I definitely have some major changes planned,” the pop star told E! News . “I’m getting together with my team this week to go over the set list, design some new costumes and dream up new props. There are a few songs that are fan favorites that I really want to add to the show.”
Britney Spears and crew promised to bring “brand new jaw-dropping elements” on her stage to keep the show fresh and entertaining.
Spears admitted that one of the important reasons she chose to extend her Las Vegas show is that she can easily travel back to Los Angeles where her two sons live.
Also contributing to the decision to go through with the extension was the fact her request to turn Piece of Me into a whole new show had been approved by the executives of Caesar Entertainment. The new show will begin in January, marking the two-year extension of her show.
On September 14, tickets for Britney: Piece of Me performances for the month of January through April 2016 will be on sale.
