Jennifer Lawrence is quite busy lately with both her film career and her philanthropy, which involves a wonderful cause aimed to decrease poverty in our world.
Lawrence has been in the spotlight for additional reasons as well, however. The Silver Linings Playbook star has ended a relationship with Coldplay front man Chris Martin after reportedly finding it difficult to see him while Martin was continuing to spend time with ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their two children, Apple and Moses. As Us Weekly reported, Lawrence and Martin officially called it quits less than two months ago; however, Martin has spent little time solo. The 38-year-old is now apparently dating Peaky Blinders actress Annabelle Wallis, since the two were spotted on a date together in Brooklyn. Lawrence’s ex is reportedly quite taken with Wallis, as a source shared with the publication.
“[Martin] has moved on quickly and has been seeing Annabelle Wallis for about a month. He visited her while she was filming in Vancouver and really likes her.”
JLaw does not seem to be affected in the slightest by the swiftness with which Martin moved on to Wallis. The Academy Award-winning actress is already the subject of Oscar buzz seeing as her latest role in Joy is said to be one that could once again put the beauty in Oscar contention. In addition, she is teaming up with a host of A-listers in the fight against poverty.
One Direction, Beyonce, Meryl Streep, Ashton Kutcher, and JLaw are only a select few of the stars who have put their efforts into the United Nations initiative to fight global poverty. Organizers behind the campaign are initiating a worldwide effort to combat poverty and inequality, along with injustice and climate change.
As 3 News NZ notes , the campaign relies on celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and those mentioned above, to spread awareness via various social media platforms in hopes to reach as many people as possible. The news channel relays the mission of the campaign with which Lawrence is in support of.
“If the goals are famous – if people care about what has been promised by the politicians, it greatly increases their chance of being implemented. So today the campaign along with the UN is calling on everyone to help make the goals famous and ensure they become a reality.”
Jennifer Lawrence has been a wonderful role model for young women and continues to be such by remaining steadfast in matters that are truly of importance.
