Adam Levine’s injury left many fans in South Korea disappointed over the weekend after Maroon 5 was forced to postpone a show in Daegu.
How Adan Levine’s injury came about is unclear, which may have led to the rumors circulating online after Levine posted a photo of himself in a neck brace on Instagram.
Those rumors indicated that the Voice judge had been injured in a car accident while in South Korea, but according to Billboard , concert organizers indicated that Adam Levine’s injury was not the result of a car accident. Instead, the Maroon 5 singer was dealing with “neck muscle issues.”

The postponed Daegu concert has been rescheduled for Thursday.
According to Billboard , the following statement was issued by South Korean concert organizers. As Billboard notes, the Korean word for “neck” and “throat” is the same, so at the time of the statement the nature of Adam Levine’s injury was unclear.
“The artists and staff tried very hard to prepare for [the Maroon 5 concert this past Saturday] until the day before on Friday, but it seemed problematic to proceed with the show given vocalist Adam Levine’s neck muscle issues.”
Though the weekend concert in Daegu was postponed, Maroon 5 opted to hold a concert scheduled Monday in Seoul. A second Seoul concert is scheduled for Wednesday.

Those who purchased tickets to the weekend Daegu show will be honored, according to information posted to Maroon 5’s Twitter feed.
We are very sorry to postpone tonight’s show in Daegu until THURSDAY 10 SEPTEMBER. All tickets will be honored.

Later, Maroon 5 confirmed via Twitter that the Seoul show on Monday would be held. The band is currently on tour promoting their fifth studio album, titled V .

The Daegu concert doesn’t mark the first time this summer that Maroon 5 has had to cancel or postpone shows. In July, the band canceled some Chinese tour dates after a controversial Tweets about the Dali Lama angered Chinese fans.
Though the nature of Adam Levine’s injury is unclear, it’s fortunate that Adam Levine and Maroon 5 were able to deal with the problem promptly. We’re sure the fans in Daegu agree.
