Sarah Palin Wants To Be Energy Secretary Just Long Enough To Eliminate The Position

Sarah Palin wants a position on Donald Trump’s cabinet. She apparently wants that position just long enough to completely dismantle the department of energy. Sarah Palin appeared for an interview with Jake Tapper’s State of the Union and appeared to be trying to tout her ability to be the energy secretary while simultaneously explaining that she didn’t want the department to exist any longer.

“I think a lot about the Department of Energy, because energy is my baby: oil and gas and minerals, those things that God has dumped on this part of the Earth for mankind’s use instead of us relying on unfriendly foreign nations,” Sarah Palin said in the interview according to MSNBC .

The former vice presidential candidate wasn’t done with those comments. Sarah Palin went further when she talked about the department of energy.

“I’d get rid of it. And I’d let the states start having more control over the lands that are within their boundaries and the people who are affected by the developments within their states. If I were in charge of that, it would be a short-term job.”

The interview with Sarah Palin comes after Donald Trump said that he believes the former Alaska governor would be a good fit for his cabinet. Sarah Palin clearly believes the same thing, though it appears it’s more that she would like to get as much power as possible. By freely admitting she wouldn’t actually be in the post long, Sarah Palin showed her true colors yet again. Trump’s cabinet isn’t the only thing the politician-turned-commentator talked about during her interview with Jake Tapper.

Sarah Palin managed to take a few swipes at President Barack Obama during her talk. The former governor was not happy that the president had come to Alaska and not said much about some Chinese warships getting close to Alaskan waters. As the Washington Post reports, she made the comment, “How about while he was up here, he had, as a president, carried a big stick, instead of a selfie stick. He could start publicly berating these countries that are sticking it to us with the messages that they are sending.”

It appears that she hasn’t lost her touch when it comes to going after the man she lost to in the 2008 election. We’ll just have to wait and see if Donald Trump is serious about giving Sarah Palin a spot on his cabinet should he get elected.
