According to the official Powerball website, two lucky lottery players won $1 million each by matching all five white balls (no Powerball) in the September 2 drawing.
Don’t throw your ticket away if you’re not the grand prize winner. There are eight ways to win non-jackpot prizes that range from $4 to $1 million.

Lottery players who spend an extra $1 for the Powerplay option have the opportunity to multiply the amount of their non-jackpot prize by up to five times the amount.
Dreaming of something bigger than a $4 non-jackpot prize? If you win the $133 million jackpot on Saturday night, you will have to choose between a one-time payment based on the cash value of the jackpot ($84.9 million) or a 30-year annuity.
According to USA Mega’s handy Powerball jackpot analysis , the lump-sum payout for the September 5 jackpot would be $63.6 million after federal taxes. Jackpot winners who choose the annuity would receive average annual payments of $3,325,000 after federal taxes.
According to the Tax Foundation, not all states tax lottery winnings , but if the state you live in does, the taxes will be deducted before you get your multimillion dollar check.
Powerball tickets are sold at lottery retailers in 44 states; Washington, D.C.; Puerto Rico; and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets can be purchased up to an hour before the 10:59 p.m. ET drawings held on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
