Blood Punch is scheduled to hit video and video on demand (VOD) services on Tuesday, September 1. Blood Punch brings together members of 2009’s Power Rangers RPM for a decidedly different genre than where most fans left them. Milo Cawthorne, Olivia Tennet, Ari Boyland, Adelaide Kane, and Mike Ginn all make appearances in what The Hollywood Reporter calls, “an audacious, gruesomely violent and darkly funny thriller that enjoys messing with its viewers’ minds.”
If Power Rangers showing up in a bloody thriller is not enough to turn your head, maybe the creative team behind Blood Punch is. The writer of Blood Punch is Eddie Guzelian, His past writing credits include Disney’s Cinderella III: A Twist In Time , Lilo and Stitch 2: Stitch Has A Glitch , and The Little Mermaid 2: Return To The Sea.
Blood Punch also marks the directorial debut of Madellaine Paxson. She has done previous work on Disney’s Kim Possible as well as Tarzan and Jane . Paxson also wrote for Power Rangers RPM . For you horror lovers out there, do not let the list of past projects fool you. This team brings its A-game when it comes to getting into your head.

Blood Punch (Midnight Releasing) follows Milton (Milo Cawthorne), a brilliant chemistry student that breaks out of a mandated drug facility along with notorious bad girl, Skylar (Olivia Tennet). Skylar takes Milton to a cabin where the two prepare for a one day drug score.
There to meet them is Skylar’s crazed boyfriend Russell (Ari Boyland). Russell plans on getting rid of Milton once the product is finished. From here Blood Punch slips into “a mind-blowing supernatural cycle of carnage and mayhem with no end…and no escape.”
Blood Punch has received numerous accolades from various independent film festivals. Some of the awards include Best Director for Paxson and Best Feature from the Hoboken Film Festival. It also won the Dark Matters Audience Award from the Austin Film Festival.
