Kate Middleton has reportedly become so frustrated by the constant comparisons to Princess Diana that she is willing to turn down the title of Princess of Wales.

The Daily Mail have alleged that because of both the public’s love and adulation for Princess Diana, as well as Prince William’s own “near veneration of his mother,” the Duchess Of Cambridge has struggled. In fact, she despises constantly being compared to Princess Diana, especially when these comments are made from officials at Buckingham Palace.

This then led the publication to allege that “when the time comes, she might want to be Princess of Wales at all – which could mean the title has gone for ever.”

Earlier this week a photoshopped image of Princess Diana with Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte started to do the rounds online, which proves just how interested the public is in comparing the two. You can check it out below.

Over the last few days, there has been increasing discussions in the press about Kate Middleton’s lack of appearances at recent weddings. In fact, the Daily Mail , via Celeb Dirty Laundry , even alleged that Middleton had told William that she wants him to spend his down time with her and their children.

The source revealed, “Kate has basically told him that because of his hours with his new job, any other time has to be spent with her and the kids. His friends understand, of course, but they are really missing him. And they suspect he is missing them too.”

The insider then added, “William used to be allowed to go to things on his own and he’d always excuse Kate’s absence, but she’s asked him to avoid going to any social functions for the time being – with or without her.”

These rumors were then exacerbated when Prince William was photographed at a wedding without Kate Middleton, even though her sister, Pippa, was in attendance. But the insider for the Daily Mail , via NZ Herald , admitted that the Duchess of Cambridge was well aware of Duke of Cambridge’s plans, and she’d allowed him to blow off some steam.

The source added, “She knows how to handle him and she lets him have his head from time to time to blow off steam. And remember, her sister was there, too.”
