For weeks, there have been rumors going around that Nick Jonas and Kendell Jenner are a couple. Now, Jonas, who is gearing up to star in the Fox show Scream Queens , let the cat out of the bag about the status of his relationship.
According to Jonas , he’s not dating Kendall Jenner.
The “Jealous” singer told E! Online . “We’re not dating.”
He continued to give the scoop on the nature of his relationship with Kendall.
“Kendall is great and naturally with her being good friends with Gigi [Hadid] and with Joe [Jonas] and Gigi dating, there are times we’ll be in the same place and we all hang out.”
That said, Jonas is still on the market and open to dating as long as it’s casual. The star, who’s probably too busy to date these days, said that he wants to keep his dating “light and casual” for right now.
Jonas called it quits with longtime love Olivia Culpo, who was the inspiration for the song “Jealous,” which took the radio by storm this year.
Of the end of his relationship, Jonas said, “I’m trying to take the time to walk out this next phase of my life and be single the right way. I [also] like being able to work as hard as I want. I’m incredibly driven and with all the projects I have going on, they take up a lot of my time. I like to work hard and just be as focused on work as possible.”
As for Nick and Kendall, it was originally reported by Us Weekly that mutual friend Gigi Hadid played matchmaker.
A source close to the situation said, “Gigi wants Kendall around all the time. She thinks it would be fun for all of them to hang out.”
It was said that Gigi and her boyfriend Joe Jonas, older brother of Nick, “reintroduced” Jenner and Nick to each other.
The source added, “They had a flirty chemistry from the start. Nick was single and looking to date and there was an obvious attraction. He absolutely thinks she’s hot. When they’re ready and it turns official, we’ll start seeing photos.”
So perhaps this was a couple that was casually dating but in the end it didn’t work out, which would make sense on why Nick is denying the rumors. Then again, maybe they were just friends and this report is just a wishful story cooked up for some good gossip.
