Kyle Richards and Brandi Glanville have stayed silent about the recent arrest of Kim Richards. Although Lisa Vanderpump spoke out earlier this morning, claiming the troubled Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s recent incarceration was “a shame,” her sister and best friend have not released statements regarding the incident.
Instead, on August 4, Glanville took to Twitter, where she spoke of her ex-boyfriend, likely Jonathan “J.R.” Ruiz, who she met through Kyle Richards years ago.

Kyle Richards, meanwhile, hasn’t shared any tweets at all since news of her sister’s arrest broke, which is a bit out of character for the longtime reality star.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Richards was arrested on Sunday at a Target store in Van Nuys, California. A short time later, Entertainment Tonight spoke to her ex-husband, Monty Brinson, who claimed the whole thing was a misunderstanding .
“I couldn’t imagine Kim stealing or shoplifting anything. She is a giver. I am in complete shock. Guaranteed this must be some kind of mistake, and the facts will come out soon. She was arrested for shoplifting toys in a cart, but this was a clear misunderstanding. This was not alcohol or drug related.”
Kyle Richards’ older sister was arrested on Sunday and remained in jail until Monday, when she posted $5,000 bond.
During an interview earlier this year, Kim Richards spoke to Entertainment Tonight , revealing she relapsed earlier this year and has had a tough time regaining her stepping in the months since. At the time of the interview, Kim Richards had just completed a 30-day treatment program.
“I love sobriety. I’ve always loved sobriety and relapsing was very hard for me. It was not easy. I have to say, don’t take this wrong, but I really wanted to go treatment because I needed a break from what I was going through at home… Monty, my ex-husband, is very sick and my son wasn’t well. And I had to give away my dog, and I wasn’t talking to my sister [Kyle Richards].”
Kyle Richards’ relationship with her sister has been strained for years, and during Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , it was worse than it had ever been, with the sisters feuding over the home of their deceased mother, as well as Kim’s friendship with their co-star, Glanville.
