One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson will turn 24 this year. Just recently, it was revealed that an ex-girlfriend is pregnant . Besides the pressures of working on what will become One Direction’s fifth album, he has the pressures of figuring out fatherhood.
Tomlinson’s own father left when he was just two. The two of them didn’t manage to keep in touch very well, and then One Direction came along. By the looks of things, Louis Tomlinson isn’t looking to do any better than his dad. Seems he’s not even up to doing as much. Though he remains close friends with the mom-to-be, there haven’t been any mentions of marriage. So, how will he be any better than his father? Is it because he’s too busy with One Direction to think about marriage?
One Direction might take time off after their upcoming fifth album. Band mentor Simon Cowell mentioned in an interview that they’ve done enough for the time being. This could bring some much needed space for decision-making, especially for Tomlinson and any others in One Direction that need time off.
Cowell’s interview about how a break would be good for the band was reported in the Toronto Sun .
“In terms of the band, they’ve got enough hits now they can take some time off and do some other stuff they want to do. Then I hope they’ll have a little bit of time apart and want to get back together again. It’s a fun job, but it’s absolutely their decision.”
It sounds like Simon is a little on edge about any other One Direction members departing from the group. This comes after Zayn Malik left in March. With some time away for its members, One Direction could come back refreshed and mature.
Cowell is putting into practice what we all learned from Malik’s departure from One Direction. It’s about having time for a normal life. Entertainment Weekly received a statement from Malik upon his departure about how he needed some private time.
“I’d like to apologise to the fans if I’ve let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight.”
Cowell wants to prevent the One Direction ranks from dwindling further, though show business is full of stress. He’s also not looking to let Tomlinson be an estranged father. He’s told Tomlinson to be responsible for the baby. One Direction fans can wait.
