Ramona Singer has been very open about her life on The Real Housewives of New York , especially since she is now trying to redefine herself. Not only is Singer dealing with a divorce from Mario Singer after years of marriage, but she has also written a book about her life, pointing out some emotional memories.
On a previous season of the show, Ramona Singer revealed that her father had been a very abusive man. Before he died, Ramona did make peace with him, but she has never forgotten the dramatic household she lived in growing up.
According to a new Bravo report, Ramona Singer is now opening up about the abuse that her father put her through in her new book, Life on the Ramona Coaster . It is no secret that Singer had grown up in a violent and abusive home, as she has discussed this on The Real Housewives of New York . But Ramona never said anything about pulling a knife on her father.
“One night he pushes me so far that I snap. I am fifteen. My mother and I are cooking dinner in our large, yellow, eat-in kitchen. I am standing next to the antique stove, preparing the salad, while my mother stands at the opposite counter near the sink. My father walks into the room and demands to know when dinner will be served. My mother tries to placate him, but the more submissive she is the more he bullies her,” Ramona Singer reveals in her book, adding that her father continues to get mad and furious.
“Suddenly, the abuse isn’t only directed toward my mother; it’s also directed at me,” Ramona explains, adding, “Something he says, I can’t recall what, hits a nerve. I snap. My life flashes before my eyes… I know exactly what I am looking for, the biggest knife with the longest and thickest blade. I pull the largest butcher knife out of the drawer and focus on the sharp blade as it slices through the head of lettuce in front of me… Then, without hesitation, I lunge toward him, point the sharp blade directly at his face and scream, ‘Stop it. Stop it right now!’ My eyes grow wild. ‘Stop it right now or I swear I will take this knife and shove it into your neck.’”
According to the Inquisitr , Ramona Singer felt that she had been able to move on when she got married to Mario. But now that they are getting divorced, she is reflecting on what went wrong. Ramona supposedly got too caught up in the fame, and Singer’s husband felt left behind.
