Florida Rep. Allen West is voicing his displeasure at the FBI for purging its training manuals of Islamaphobic references. According to West the changes to the FBI training manual put us on a road to “cultural suicide.”
Speaking to Fox News on Monday morning West revealed his viewpoint on the subject, stating:
“We have to understand when tolerance becomes a one-way street, it will lead to cultural suicide.”
West goes on to add:
“We should not allow the Muslim Brotherhood-associated groups to be influencing our national security strategy.”
As Politico points out Allen West isn’t just attacking the FBI training manual, he is also upset that the Fort Hood shooting makes no mention to Muslim extremism or an alleged link to Anwar al-Awlaki.
In stressing his point West says that if we “want to be less offensive to [the enemy], then we’re going to put ourselves in a bad situation”
Further attacking America’s defenses West says they are “so vanilla.”
Unfortunately for Allen West his radical convictions have turned away many of his former supporters. Recently West claimed Congress is full of Democrat Communists , that comment and his increasingly strange behavior caused the NAACP to drop West as a speaker for one of the groups public fundraisers in Florida over the weekend.
Allen West is becoming a pro at politics for all the wrong reasons as he continues to attack groups with baseless maneuvers that are meant to server his own purposes. Just one problem with West’s attacks, they are alienating everyone except for a small extremist section of the Tea Party who for whatever reason continue to support the Representatives strange and sometimes outright offensive notions.
