Javi Marroquin and his wife, Kailyn Lowry, faced some major marital issues during filming on Teen Mom 2 season 6. In the latest sneak peek of the new season, which premieres tonight on MTV, Javi Marroquin is seen telling Lowry she could not go to a concert with friends because he simply didn’t trust her.
“Javi, you agreed to this last night,” a tearful Lowry tells Javi Marroquin, according to a July 9 report by Us Weekly .
Unfortunately, Javi Marroquin came across a few text messages from one of his wife’s male friends, which caused tension between the couple, and led to serious trust issues within their relationship.
“Now that all this happened, I don’t trust you. I don’t feel comfortable with you going. So we’re going to fix this issue now before you go anywhere.”
Javi Marroquin goes on to suggest he and Lowry delete all of their pass codes, and allow each other access to one another’s electronics.
“We need to meet in the middle,” Javi Marroquin explains.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Javi Marroquin and his wife have been fighting back against divorce rumors since the season 6 trailer for Teen Mom 2 premiered weeks ago. Earlier this week, however, the reality television couple set the record straight during an interview with Us Weekly .
Below is what Javi Marroquin’s wife told the magazine on Tuesday.
“I think it was easier for me to make friends in Delaware, because I would go to my breastfeeding support group, CrossFit, stuff like that. And for him, he’s at work all day.”
Following months of tension between Javi Marroquin and Lowry, she claims she sat him down, and let him know how close she was to leaving him. Once she did, Javi Marroquin appeared to gain a new outlook on the problems within their relationship.
“There was a point where I was like, ‘You’re going to go to work one day and me and the kids are going to be gone,’ but I think there was a turning point when his mom and his sister sat him down, and they sat him down and they were just like, ‘This is what it is. We’re surprised that she hasn’t left you,’ kind of deal.”
