Demi Moore made her first public appearance since checking out of rehab in early March from Utah’s Cirque Lodge . The actress was seen on Tuesday night at a Beverly Hills house party to support friend, British TV host Amanda De Cadenet.
The event, which was thrown by Instyle’s Managing Editor Ariel Foxman, gathered a close knit party to celebrate Lifetime’s interview show, The Conversation , which Moore is the executive producer and as well as one of its inspirations behind the show.
“The conversations that [Demi] and I have on a daily basis really reflect the questions on the show,” said De Cadenet, 39, to PEOPLE , in its current issue. “She was a great sounding board. The spirit of the show is about women supporting one another so [working with her] was great,” said Moore’s friend.
Since leaving treatment Demi Moore has stayed completely out of the spotlight before Tuesday’s event. This marked a big step for Moore, who sought treatment for “exhaustion.” In March, Moore returned to her Los Angeles home, which she shared with soon-to-be ex husband Ashton Kutcher , from an island vacation with friend after checking out of rehab. According to a source Moore has been trying hard to focus more on getting her life back together as well as her career.
In November, following allegations of Ashton Kutcher cheating, Moore filed for divorce, which was a big move and sources suggested it pushed her over the edge. Two months after the announcement Demi was hospitalized due to seizures from abusing whippits.
Another big step towards normalcy is her return to twitter after a much needed hiatus. However, it was noted that she’s still using her @mrskutcher handle, despite the soon to be pending divorce between her and ex Ashton Kutcher.
As for her career, initially Demi Moore was set to have a bit part in Lovelace, a film about the 70s porn star Linda Lovelace, but was forced to drop out due to her troubles and was subsequently replaced by Sarah Jessica Parker.
