BET Awards: Tracee Ellis Ross Throws Major Shade At Chris Brown And Tyga?

Tracee Ellis Ross threw some major shade at Chris Brown and Tyga. Usually at awards shows, actors, actresses, and musicians grin and bear it as they forcefully read whatever is up on the teleprompter. Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross decided that she was going to make fun of that ritual and all but rolled her eyes at the script she had to read while introducing Chris Brown and Tyga.

It started off well, but Ross couldn’t get through the first opening line without taking a pregnant pause and laughing. She started, “The next performers are equally a triple threat — young, sexy, and black.” Tracee then looked to the side and laughed before continuing, “Tyga… and Chris Brown.”

Sure, Tracee’s laugh might have been due to the fact that the fans were screaming out of control for the two guests she was announcing, but since it’s Ross, and she really never truly holds back her opinion, we’re going to go with the other angle — she definitely threw shade at Chris and Tyga. And, she would have a lot of reason to throw shade. Brown is always embroiled in some drama, while Tyga is dating Kylie Jenner, and many considerate that an inappropriate relationship given their age gap.

Needless to say, Twitter had all types of opinions about the shade.

UPDATE: As it turns out, Tracee wasn’t throwing shade at Tyga or Chris Brown, or at least this is the story she’s going with. The actress took to her Twitter to clarify the moment for everyone on Twitter.
