Ed Sheeran is in demand. He was the opening act for the Rolling Stones’ Kansas City date of their Zip Code Tour, and the audience was treated to a performance they may never forget.
Sheeran joined Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood on stage Saturday to perform the Rolling Stones classic song “Beast of Burden,” with Ed Sheeran accompanying on accoustic guitar and vocals.

Mick Jagger posted backstage footage of the two discussing their plans for the Kansas City show, indicating that they considered covering Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen,” which Sheeran had previously covered and performed on The Tonight Show .
Sheeran joins a number of special guests who have been invited to join the rock legends during the tour. Gary Clark, Jr., Buddy Guy, and Brad Paisley have also appeared with the Rolling Stones during their Zip Code Tour, delighting fans by performing duets of Rolling Stones staples as well as covers of popular rock and pop songs like “Hang on Sloopy.”
But Sheeran isn’t just an opening act, he took a break from his own X Tour to make the appearance, but seemed more than happy to do it.

The party marked the release of Tori Kelly’s new album Unbreakable Smile , which features Ed Sheeran’s song “I Was Made For Loving You.”
But as busy as he has been in the states, Sheeran is about to cross the pond for a series of concerts in the UK. Ed Sheeran is scheduled to perform three shows at Wembley Stadium in July, where film crews will be recording for an upcoming movie.
“We are doing something for the Wembley Stadium gigs. It will be a documentary . It’s going to go out in cinemas in the UK and Europe. But it’s just going to be a one-off thing,” said Sheeran, according to ContactMusic .
It was also recently announced that Ed Sheeran will be headlining the premier leg of the Nova Red Room Global Tour in Ireland later this summer.
