Jennifer Lawrence sported a mustache and unibrow after a crazy night out in New York City, looking a little bit like someone who had the bad fortune of passing out in a frat house.
The actress stumbled out of the Waverly Inn in New York City on Friday showing off black pen marks all over her face, with someone having drawn a mustache, goatee, and unibrow on her face. Jennifer seemed to be taking it in stride , having a good laugh and making some goofy faces for photographers (pictures can be seen here ).
Jen seems to be having a great time in New York. Earlier in the week, she was seen leaving Nobu restaurant with chopsticks in her mouth like walrus tusks. Jen laughed with friends and made more funny faces for photographers.
As the mustache incident shows, Jennifer Lawrence doesn’t take herself or her fame too seriously. While more image-conscious stars may never be caught in such a goofy moment, Jen doesn’t seem to care much about maintaining such a proper image.
The antics could have something to do with Jen’s busy schedule. She’s got Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 coming out in November and Serena shortly afterward, and she may have been looking for a fun night out amid her otherwise jam-packed life.
Jen also seems to understand that as a star she’s lost the ability to walk around New York in a mustache and not end up splashed across tabloids. In an interview late last year , Lawrence said she knows she will always be followed closely.
“I realized that whatever I do, at any level, I would lose a part of my private life,” she said.
“I always had a very clear idea of the type of course I wanted – acting, that’s all,” Lawrence added. “Of course, by contract, I must assure a media presence to promote my work. But if I had a choice, you wouldn’t hear me express myself except in movies.”
Jen also revealed that she has no desire to jump onto social media, and still doesn’t have a Twitter account.
“All [of] that doesn’t interest me for a second!” she said. “I’m always hundreds of emails behind.”
But Jennifer Lawrence is opening up to fans — and the mustache may be helping. After her wild night out, she stopped to sign some autographs for fans, the first time she’s done so since moving to New York City.
