Hugh Hefner’s son slammed Holly Madison on Twitter. The 23-year-old took to the social networking site to exclaim his disgust for the former Playboy model.
Cooper Hefner had some cruel words to say about Holly Madison. In his series of tweets, he also publicly defended his 89-year-old father, who Madison writes about in her tell-all memoir.
Cooper furiously wrote , “How does a person who is famous for being a gold digger paint themselves as a victim of a relationship they aggressively sought out for?”
He also goes on to compare Madison with V. Stiviano, the mistress of former L.A. Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling, along with a handful of other women who live in Los Angeles. Cooper slams them all and calls them “wonderfully s**tty people.”
Cooper continued, “Holly Madison… and a few other lovely ladies that lived in L.A. make a Justice League-type group of wonderfully s**tty people.”
In her book, Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny , Madison talks about her relationship with Hefner, which she calls “vacant.” Now Madison’s telling Us Weekly why it took her seven years to open up about her relationship with Hefner.
“I’ve gotten offers for book deals before, especially right after I left the mansion. But I didn’t want to do it then because I didn’t want to do just a tell-all about someone. I wanted this to be my life story — about what I’ve learned and where I’ve gone — and I’ve finally gotten to a place where I felt that I could tell that story. Over the years I met so many people who had so many misconceptions about what my life was like at the mansion and I really wanted to set the record straight.”
Madison, 35, revealed that setting the record straight about her life at the Playboy Mansion was harder than it seemed.
“I approached the project wanting to be as open and honest as possible, but there were parts that were harder to write than others. There were parts I’d say, ‘Let’s skip over this and I’ll come back to that, do that later’ because quite a few instances were painful memories for me. And sometimes I was worried about how people would judge me for coming out with my story and I couldn’t let it bother me at the end of the day — I had to let it out… Everybody’s going to read it and judge it on their own. And sometimes it can seem like too much information, but there’s a good message at the heart of it.”
The former model also explained that she didn’t sign a non-disclosure agreement during her time at the mansion, which is why she was so candid about her personal life as a Playboy model.
Holly also hopes that her book will inspire other women who find themselves in difficult relationships or situations.
“I wrote the book not because I had an axe to grind or because I wanted a reaction from him. I just wanted to tell my story and hopefully inspire other women if they’re in a bad relationship or a bad situation, to move on and not feel branded by a choice they made or a person they’re known to be with.”
Holly Madison also responded to her octogenarian ex-boyfriend’s statement about having “chosen to rewrite history” in order to gain media attention. She says that Hugh Hefner doesn’t believe that women have an important story to tell.
“I’m definitely not rewriting history. Everything in the book is 100 percent true. I just think it’s not the version of the story he would like to tell.”
